A Bucket Full of Mangoes

About Us

A humorous exploration of Jamaican culture through the eyes of young Kerri-Anne Moore, portraying love in simple and extraordinary ways through family, close friendships and community.

The play is an adaptation of Playwright and Director Karlene Millwood's book of the same name. It is a book about strong relationships among family, friends and community and their role in raising a child.

Set against a backdrop of the island’s beauty, Kerri-Anne’s stories will take you from the heights of joy and laughter to moments of fear and sadness and back again. Told in descriptive detail that incorporates the native dialect, patois, the stories are beautiful timepieces that capture life in Jamaica in the 1970s to mid-1980s. Be prepared to laugh.
